Minister

Minister

I read the passages in scripture about Christ ministering

I think about how I am broken like a violin string

I think about how all us humans are hurt incessantly

The hurt of racism, criticism, and jealousy

The hurt of comparison, perfectionism, and you “should be”

The hurt of abuse: physically, mentally or emotionally

The hurt of loss, and of physical pains

Negative forces of the world spill on us stains

No one is free of any hurt, no one is free of needs

Christ stopped people on the road, for them he did deeds

But I believe just with His presence he fills in the gaps

Just in His love He can heal our life’s hurts and traps

His love can make us feel whole, nothing wanting

No more questioning of ourselves, no doom daunting

His awareness of us helps Him know how

He understands if we need love and affection now

He knows if we need a place to rest and food for our belly

He knows we desire abundance of love and comfort indefinitely

We live in a world that scares us into scarcity thoughts

Our world has a king, a king of lies and hate and plots

Jesus wants us to come to Him, out of the world

And come to a higher place with love unfurled

There we can create a new world, of abundance

And hope and peace and unison, all in cadence

So when you hear that Christ ministered, think again

What does that mean? Like the lepers were ten

Yet only one came to say thank you

We can be healed and return to Him too

That comes from a place of healing

When pure love and affection is all we are feeling

I have been raised up to believe and receive

His scripture and laws, yet Satan can deceive

I have accepted untrue beliefs at times

It’s like a song, and it rhymes

But not everything you hear or think is true

The higher power is the truth in you

Abundance, love, affection, appreciation

Gentleness, kindness, charity and adoration

Goodness, giving, harmony, and melody

Beauty, holding, accepting, welcoming, empathy

These are the higher law and I imagine

Is how we feel, when Christ, we let in.
