Ladybug Lottie

 Ladybug Lottie

Lottie the Ladybug was a bug you see.

But she wanted to be human like you and me.

All the bugs in her garden would laugh and say,

“That is weird when you act like a human that way.”

She wore clothes made of flowers and stood on two feet.

And She gathered a few sticks to fashion a seat.

She practiced her manners and always said please.

Other bugs would laugh when she pardoned her sneeze.

She was different from others but followed her heart.

One day from her village she needed to part.

The plants had all died and the water ran dry.

Some bugs were upset, but Lottie needn’t cry.

She packed up her things and set out on a journey.

She followed a path that was strait, and not swirly.

Soon in her path she saw, very faint…

A quaint little village guarded by a saint.

The gates opened up as she walked tall and proud,

And inside she could see the most delightful crowd.

“Hello, and good day” cheered the bugs that she passed.

“We are glad that you’ve come our way at last!”

The bugs were all proper and wore pretty clothes.

They lived in sweet houses under bushes and cloves.

As she looked all around, with her bags in her hand,

She thought, this is the place. THIS is my land!

And there she lived in the garden with friends,

To never get scorned for her humanly trends.

The moral of the story is to be proud and stay true,

even when others may not understand you.
